Not exactly, an MP4 hinted file is just an MP4 file prepared for streaming
( an hint track is added to help the server to stream the file ).

I think QT Player 6 and Helix Server only manage ISMA compliant content and
ISMA has specified CELP and AAC-LC for audio coding. You then should prefer
AAC-LC to MP3 for your audio track.
