[M4IF Technotes] Stream mp3 audio through helix server?

Dear all,
It seems reasonable that a hinted mp4 file consists of mpeg4 encoded video and mp3 audio, doesn't it? However, when I tried to stream such a mp4 file through a helix server it doesn't work, for the Quicktime player couldn't playback the mp4 file. 
Why should this happen? Is it because that a hinted mp4 file with mp3 as audio can't be streamed, or is it because that I have made some mistakes while trying to stream the mp4 file?
