[Mp4-tech] MPEG-4 and timecode

Dear experts,
I need to produce MPEG-4 files with the same timecode than the original
content ( MPEG-2 and DV ), for low-resolution editing purpose.
Is there a standardized way to include a timecode track into MP4 file format
?
Which tools ( players, encoders, muxers, editing softwares, etc. ) are able
to handle MPEG-4 files with timecode so far ?
