[M4IF Technotes] Common ways to evaluate encoded video quality?

Hi,
I'm wondering what are the common ways to evaluate encoded video quality?
Currently I'm using PSNR to evaluate the quality. But sometimes higher 
PSNR does not guarantee better image quality.
So, I'm looking for other metrics to have a more objective view. Any 
suggestions?
