[M4IF Technotes] (video_object_layer_width / height) not a multiple of 16

I am trying to decode a MPEG4 simple profile bitstream
with dimensions 352 x 242. My understanding of the
standard is that for all decoding operations (Motion
compensation etc.) the video_object_layer_height /
width should be rounded off to the next multiple of 16
; in this case 352 x 256. Whereas for display purposes
the dimesions as sent in the bitstream (i.e 352 x
242)should be used.
Using the above strategy results in some artifacts in
the decoded output. Could anybody let me know where I
could be going wrong. The decoder I am using has
passed all the conformance test vectors and hence I
dont expect any major / fundamental bugs in the
implementation.
Thanks and regards
Arvind
