[M4IF Technotes] Bounding boxes

going through the details of MPEGJ I couldn't find a way to ask for a 
bounding-box of a 2d or 3d node. Is this on purpose and what is the 
reason?
Is there a node that I can use to give me this info? For 2d, I think the 
layout node is a candidate with its exposedField size. I'm not sure if 
this field is expected to change according to the children it has, 
however. I fear it is not :-( but the documentation is not really clear 
on this.
Can anybody give me details?
